Reward the Companies That Play Nicely with Others

by: LiberalAlice

This from CrooksandLiars:

Roughly 40 executives from companies including Playboy Enterprises, ice cream maker Ben & Jerry's, the Seagram's liquor company, toymaker Hasbro, Delta Airlines and Men's Wearhouse sent a letter to congressional leaders Friday urging them to approve public financing for House and Senate campaigns. They say they are tired of getting fundraising calls from lawmakers - and fear it will only get worse after Thursday's Supreme Court ruling.

We need to get the list of the 40 companies that signed this letter and reward them with our business.  I don't see this as a trend that will infect Big Pharma or the Oil cartel, but it's a start.

Keep your eyes on the prize and don't believe the lies!

Progressives need to capitalize on the outrage that this decision has sparked (0.00 / 0)
I have had 2 conversations in just one evening at an event that was all about celebrating the founding settlers of Hingham.

Those people initiated the topic, the previous evening I was speaking to a Republican  who grabbed at the 'free speech' argument and I replied that corporations already have political action committees previous to this and did he really think that corporations had lacked the ability to 'speech'.

This just gives corporations louder speech than anyone else.

I also asked the man if he felt  that a corporation was  a 'person' just like him. Was it fair?

All he could talk about was 'labor unions.'

I answered again, that labor unions have politcal action committees just as corporations did .....then I asked, 'are you so unsure of your argument that you need to throw the full weight of a corporation's vast wealth behind persuading people?'

No answer

I am too informed to be a Republican
